All you need to know about it is the following:

1) It is made of WIN. Utter and complete WIN.
2) The 2k3 versions of the Technodrome and Foot Soldiers are damn awesome.
3) All incarnations of the TMNT were given nods...except for Next Mutation (and possibly the Image series)
4) 80s April- still hot.
5) The Mirage Comics TMNT can kick ALL OF THEIR ASSES.

My only real gripes with the movie, aside from not able to watch it again right away to see anything I missed, was the fact they made the 80's characters a little too goofy. I mean, don't get me wrong I liked the way they were, but the 80s series did have some bit of seriousness to it, and the Shredder really was no slouch in the hand to hand combat department. (I've got hours of play in the first TMNT arcade game to vouch for that.) The Mirage TMNT had a hard edge, but even they had a little more personality. There were quite a few cameos too, like the gang that the 80s TMNT had faced in the first episode along with the human versions of Rocksteady and Bebop, and nods to a lot of the continuities that has existed, including the Archie comics and the Japanese OVA. (But, as before, I did not see any trace of the Next Mutation or Image comics versions.) The revamped Technodrome and Foot Soldiers was a swift kick in the ass. Rocksteady and Bebop? No need to change them...

Also, the dialogue that they wrote for the movie was very clever, especially whenever the 80s Turtles broke the 4th wall (and the reactions from Hun and 2K3 Raph when they did that were golden.) What's even funnier was the Mirage Turtles reaction to the other TMNT. It was like a big 'Take That' at the fans of old who complained when TMNT was adapted for television. Even more awesome was the way they snuck in lines from the first comic issue (The Shredder...is shredded!)

Now, how kick ass would it have been if 80's Splinter, 2K3 Splinter and Mirage Splinter all met up as well?

Overall, it was one of the best movies for the francise and a great way for the 4Kids series to go out on. Here's hoping the Nick series can do good.


Oh and one more thing: This past week on Family Guy, Glenn Quagmire said something to Brian Griffin that was LONG overdue.

Quagmire: You are the worst person I know. You constantly hit on your best friend's wife, the man who pays for your food and rescued you from certain death and that is how you repay him? And to add insult to injury you defecate all over his yard, and you're such a sponge. You pay for nothing and you always say "oh I'll catch you later" but later never comes! And what really bothers me is you pretend that you're this deep guy who loves women for their souls when all you do is date bimbos, and yeah, I date women for their bodies but at least I'm honest about it. I don't buy them a copy of Catcher in the Rye and lecture them with some 7th grade interpretation about how Holden Caulfield is some profound intellectual. He wasn't! He was a spoiled brat and that's why you like him so much. He's you! God, you're pretentious. And you delude yourself by saying you're some great writer even though you're terrible. You know, I should have known Cheryl Tiegs didn't write me that note. She would've known there was no "a" in the word definite. And you know what I hate most about you is your textbook liberal agenda on how we should "legalize pot, man", how big business is crushing the underclass and homelessness is the biggest tragedy in America, well what have you done to help? I worked down at the soup kitchen Brian, and I've never seen you down there! You want to help, GRAB A LADLE! And by the way, driving a Prius doesn't make you Jesus Christ. Oh wait, you don't believe in Jesus Christ or any religion for that matter because "religion is for idiots!" Well, who the hell are you to talk down to anyone? You failed college twice, which isn't nearly as bad as your failure as a father. How is that son of yours you never see? But you know what, I could forgive all of that, ALL OF IT...if you weren't such a bore! That's the worst of it, Brian. You're just a big sad alcoholic bore! Thanks for the fucking steak.
